In an effort to lure convention business to cities, a growing number of convention and visitors bureaus are offering incentive programs to meeting and event planners and Philadelphia is no exception. Planners are looking for more and CVBs have risen to the challenge. With these meetings and events drawing in visitors and tourism dollars, incentive programs prove to be beneficial for both parties involved.

Financial aids are a concrete way for planners to see the benefits of hosting a meeting in a certain city. Current incentive programs in Philadelphia include receiving up to $10,000 in cash rebates for 2018; receiving a $1.00 cash rebate per room night for events that actualize from ten to 1,000 total room nights; and receiving a $2.00 cash rebate per room night for events that actualize at 1,001 or more total room nights.

When planners take advantage of these incentive programs, they are not only getting a discount on things like hotel rates, they are also receiving unmatched support from the CVB itself. Experts take care of everything from providing creative solutions, to ensuring a smooth turnkey experience. The CVB staff is available with undivided attention to create an event that meets planners’ visions and is profitable overall.

With Philadelphia being ranked the “#1 Place to Go” by The New York Times, the additional benefits to meeting in this city are endless. Over 1,000 inbound and outbound flights to the newly-renovated Philadelphia International Airport make getting there easy. With 100 trains leaving and entering the city, and driving routes making it easily accessible along the East Coast, ground transportation is a perfect alternative. Once groups have made it into the city limits, over 11,000 hotel rooms make their stay enjoyable – and with incentives to book, planners reap the benefits as well.
