Parx Casino has announced the grand opening of Pennsylvania’s newest live entertainment venue, Xcite Center. To kick it all off, the 1,500 seat venue will host two separate launch concerts featuring two world-renowned music groups: Chicago and Rascal Flatts.

“The Xcite Center will be a spectacular new live music venue for the region to enjoy. We are thrilled and honored to open with the iconic band Chicago then host one of country music’s best, Rascal Flatts in March,” says Tony Ricci, CEO of Parx Casino. “This is only the start of bringing some of the best live entertainment acts to Parx Casino® and Bucks County.”

Xcite Center’s first launch party will feature the iconic GRAMMY Award-winning band, Chicago. Scheduled for Saturday, January 13, 2018, the legendary rock band will be playing hits from their 36 career albums boasting 25 certified platinum.

Considered one of the world’s best-selling groups of all time, this American rock band will usher in a new era of music at Xcite Center. On Saturday, March 3, 2018, Rascal Flatts will headline the second featured launch concert. As the most awarded country vocal group of the past decade, Rascal Flatts has earned their title as country music royalty. Rascal Flatts claimed six consecutive CMA Awards for Vocal Group of the Year and was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2011. With over 16 number one hits, they are sure to get the party started.

Metro Public Works recently announced the start of a new glass recycling initiative to being in Lower Broadway in Nashville, TN.

Mayor Megan Barry said it was the city’s first glass bottle recycling initiative. “Lower Broadway has become an international tourist destination, and long-neck bottles are now synonymous with the honky-tonk experience,” Barry said. “For too long, we’ve had to throw away glass that could have been recycled and repurposed. This program is like no other, and we are excited to lead the charge toward a more sustainable city.”
