Gettysburg is synonymous with the Civil War, but that’s not the only thing this charming place has going for it. Set in the heart of Pennsylvania's Fruit Belt, Adams County is home to more than 20,000 acres of apple trees, making it an ideal location for growing not only 100 varieties of apples, but peaches, grapes, hops and more. Tucked among the farm markets, orchards and vineyards is a growing number of wineries, cideries, breweries and distilleries.

Created as a way to bring together a variety of craft beverage experiences into one adventure, Destination Gettysburg is launching the Adams County Pour Tour in May 2018. The trail will include a passport and trail map to encourage travelers to visit multiple locations throughout the region.

"Each of these craft beverage makers is special, but by bringing them together into one trail will create a more memorable experience for travelers and encourage more visitors to explore the Gettysburg countryside," said Norris Flowers, President of Destination Gettysburg. "The Pour Tour is a great way to highlight a variety of craft beverages - ranging from wines, to ciders, beer and spirits - all made right here in Adams County, Pa."

Events, such as the Gettysburg Brew Fest, Gettysburg Wine & Music Festival, PA Cider Fest as well as smaller-scale events held at the locations themselves, will also be highlighted through the Adams County Pour Tour.

Check out the upcoming summer issue of Pennsylvania Meetings + Events for more details on the Pour Tour.
